FYI - From Sassie:
It has been brought to our attention that another mystery shop software provider has experienced a security breach where a database of shopper passwords has been used to reroute shopper Paypal payments to an attacker's Paypal account.
SASSIE has NOT been impacted by this threat.
Upon hearing about the potential breach we immediately investigated and determined that no malicious activity had occurred on SASSIE. Furthermore we have confirmed that our security measures are in place and working correctly.
Why We Were Not Affected: On SASSIE, shopper email addresses and Paypal addresses must be the same. When a shopper email address is changed, SASSIE sends an alert to the OLD email address alerting the shopper of the change - this makes it very unlikely that the same type of attack would be successful on SASSIE. We also verified that there has been no unusual pattern of shopper email addresses changes.
